Day 4 - Thursday

Well, here I am at work on a roof with Pete. He's a plumbing & heating engineer, so what he's doing on a roof, I'm not sure.

Pete did hit a snag after he took this picture - he realised his camera's memory card was full so we only got this one pic. There's no evidence of me fully installing a full central heating system in under an hour then... but I'm sure Pete would vouch for me... although after the funny looks he got from some of the other contractors on this job for coming to work with a bear, maybe he might not vouch for me after all...

At about 8.00pm Tricky came and picked me up again. Tonight we're off to Loughborough Fair - it's apparently the largest street fair in the country. I'm going with Tricky, Tricky's W, her sister Jayne and her sister's partner Nigel. This is a picture of me in Tricky's W's sister's pocket. I went in there so I didn't get squished or trampled on at the fair. Phew.

Apparently, an essential part of visiting Loughborough Fair is to call in at one or two local drinking establishments on the way... I didn't argue...

Whilst we were walking around, we came across a really big ride that Tricky said he hadn't seen before called The Pendulum. It looked really scary as it went really high in the air and then whooshed back down, sometimes tipping the carriage upside down. Blimey.

I was too scared to go on, but Tricky is fearless and he went on with Nigel. He looked quite worried if you ask me.

This is the "pendulum" in mid swing upside down - Oooer.

And this is another one of the carriage right at the top. I'm glad I didn't go on in case I fell off!!!

This is Tricky's W on the right and her sister Jayne on the left. I tried sneaking a kiss from them both...

...but I had to settle for a bag of sweets instead.

After "The Pendulum", this ride looked much more inviting (and safe).

There was a section of the "Fair" that was in fact a prison - lots of my cuddly compardres were locked in a glass cell and people had to pay money to try and grab them to set them free...it was horrible...

It was so traumatic, we had to retire to another public house for a "medicinal" drink (or two) to round off the night.

I'm having a rest on Friday and Saturday before I go to play bowls on Sunday with Tricky's W's Mum.

Seeya soon Roffles Fans!
